Strategy continues aggressive accumulation of Bitcoin reserves
Strategy increased its Bitcoin holdings by 7 000 BTC this week in a transaction that cost approximately $500 million.
Deal structure
The purchase was financed through the sale of perpetual preferred shares of series "Stretch" (STRC), a format that attracts institutional demand.
Issuance of such preferred securities follows the company’s established approach to raising capital for additional Bitcoin acquisitions.
Holdings and average cost
As of 12.03.2026, the company’s aggregate reserves reached 742 769 BTC, with an average acquisition price of $75 820 per coin.
Those figures reflect cumulative purchases across multiple financing rounds and public transactions executed by the company.
Company strategy and scale
Michael Saylor notes that Strategy now controls more Bitcoin than many sovereign states and aims to increase capital available for purchases to $84 billion by year-end.
Despite prevailing market volatility, the company continues an aggressive buying pace, acquiring volumes several times larger than miners’ typical daily issuance.
