FBI seizes 127,000 BTC in record crypto operation
U.S. authorities said the FBI carried out a large-scale operation that resulted in the seizure of significant cryptocurrency holdings.

According to American authorities, law enforcement confiscated more than 127,000 BTC and other assets valued at over $8 billion during the operation named Blackout.
Network targeted and arrests
Investigators dismantled an international network of alleged scam centers operating across Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and the UAE, the statement said.
Authorities reported roughly 300 suspects detained and approximately 2,000 people freed who were allegedly held and coerced to participate in fraudulent schemes.
Disruption of criminal communications
To disable the groups' infrastructure, the FBI requested assistance to interrupt communications; the provider deactivated more than 7,000 terminals that were reportedly used for coordination.

Officials described the operation as coordinated across jurisdictions and involving multiple agencies to trace assets and execute simultaneous raids, according to the announcement.
