Kraken enables cash withdrawals in Ukraine via MoneyGram
Kraken has added a cash pickup option for users in Ukraine by integrating MoneyGram to convert USD balances into hryvnia and dispense cash.
How the service works
Users select the local currency and withdrawal amount in their Kraken account, confirm the transaction, and receive a control number for pickup at MoneyGram locations.
To collect funds, a user must present the control number and an identity document at the chosen MoneyGram point within the stipulated time window after confirmation.
Verification and timing
The service requires an account with Intermediate verification level or higher before withdrawals can be initiated through the integration.
In most cases the converted funds become available for cash pickup in less than 10 minutes after Kraken confirms the operation.
Limits and current restrictions
- Monthly cap: up to $1200 in total withdrawals.
- Daily limit: no more than 3 payout operations per day.
- Monthly operations: maximum of 20 withdrawal transactions per month.
At launch the integration supports only physical cash pickup at MoneyGram outlets; direct withdrawals to Ukrainian bank accounts are not supported.
Availability and rollout
The feature is available to Kraken users in Ukraine through the MoneyGram network, with accessibility dependent on local payout points and operational hours.
Kraken users should verify their account status and confirm local MoneyGram point requirements before initiating a withdrawal to ensure successful cash collection.
