eCash launches beta; early participant bonus doubled

eCash has opened a beta of its Bitcoin-based independent network, and testers will receive an enhanced distribution bonus during the trial phase.

Distribution mechanics

At the full launch, the project intends to allocate 1 ECX for every Bitcoin held by a user, while the original BTC balance remains under user control.

During the beta, participants who burn test tokens will receive an additional reward on top of the main allocation. This incentive aims to encourage early engagement and protocol testing.

Beta bonus specifics

In the beta program, burning 1000 pECX will yield 20 ECX instead of the prior offer of 10 ECX. The doubled payment supplements the standard distribution at launch.

The project states that the bonus applies only to tokens burned within the beta environment and is separate from the final chain snapshot calculations.

Timing and claiming conditions

The team has scheduled the network launch for around 31.10., and qualifying holders must control the relevant Bitcoin private keys at the moment of the fork to claim allocations.

For an independent claim of allocated ECX, users should ensure their BTC remain in wallets they control at the snapshot time rather than on custodial platforms that might not support the distribution.

Notes

The beta stage offers a temporary increased bonus for early contributors, while the core principle of a 1 ECX entitlement per BTC at launch remains the stated plan.
