X launches cashtag trading with U.S. broker partners

X rolled out a cashtag partner program that enables trading directly from the feed, initially available to U.S. users only.

How cashtag trading works

When a user taps a ticker such as $BTC or $AAPL inside a post, the service opens an asset page with a live chart and related posts.

From that page, pressing the Trade button redirects the user to a partner broker to execute orders, maintaining the feed-to-trade flow within the platform.

Partners and availability

The program launched with five named partners: Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Interactive Brokers, and Moomoo.

Access to direct trading through the cashtag integration is limited to U.S. accounts at the time of the rollout, per the announcement.

Reactions from the crypto ecosystem

Developers and crypto projects have begun building around the platform’s payments layer, often referred to as X Money, to capture feed-driven activity.

  • Launchpads that route token sale commissions to specific influencers via the platform’s payments tooling have already appeared.
  • NFT mints are being adapted so purchases settle through X Money using an associated EVM address for provenance and payment.
  • New token concepts tie supply or revenue streams to individual posts, allocating commission shares to the original author.

Observers note that a range of projects, not exclusively full crypto platforms, are timing product releases to coincide with heightened market interest driven by the new trading integration.
