Telegram is testing a dedicated «News» tab in the macOS beta that aggregates posts from multiple channels into a single view.

Feed structure

The new tab separates content into two main sections to organise what users see and how they follow updates from channels.

• Added — posts from channels the user explicitly included in their personal feed.
• For You — algorithmic recommendations surfaced according to selected interests.

Implications for creators

For channel authors, the feature could create an additional distribution channel and make it easier to reach readers beyond existing subscribers.

Exact rules for inclusion in the recommendation stream and the schedule for a wider rollout have not been disclosed by Telegram.

Unknowns and next steps

The functionality was spotted in the macOS beta, and Telegram has not provided details on ranking criteria, privacy safeguards, or cross-platform availability.

Until the company publishes official guidance, creators and users cannot assess how recommendations will affect visibility or content moderation.
